I have always loved the cheesy excess that was a major part of the 1980s typography.
 
Over the last few months I have pushed myself to recreate a lot of these hand drawn effects using photoshop, aiming for a mixture of authenticity and improvement on the original ideas.
 
Some of these were used, some never made the cut and some were just for fun.

MTV - Self initiated typographic illustration. Finishing up a series of 1980s inspired retro pieces, I had to reference MTV somewhere.
Pretty stoked with how this one turned out.
